COLUMBUS, Ohio -- It’s been 25 years since the last time Ohio State faced UCLA in a football game and even longer since the two played in Columbus.

The Buckeyes and Bruins have met nine previous times, each side winning four and the other being a 10-10 tie in 1976. The last game came in 2001 when UCLA beat OSU 13-6 in Pasadena.

No one has won back-to-back games in this series that dates back to 1961, and the Bruins hope to change that on Saturday. Since firing their head coach, Deshaun Foster, they’ve gone 3-3 in what’s been a weird revival of the program, putting them in the middle of the Big Ten pack .
