The Kaibab National Forest is planning prescribed burns north of the City of Williams starting Wednesday , Nov. 12 , pending weather conditions and required approvals.

The ignitions are anticipated to take one or two days as part of the Marteen Project on four units of land totaling 504 acres located east of State Route 64 near Laws Spring, approximately 10 to 15 miles north of Williams and 8 to 10 miles south of Valle.
