AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A 49-year-old man has been arrested after a multi-agency search on Mike Padgett Highway, according to authorities.

On Monday around 1:25 p.m., Richmond County deputies were called to assist the Burke County Sheriff’s Office in locating several burglary suspects at the Yo Mart Store, 5131 Mike Padgett Highway.

Deputies say a perimeter was set up in the area after they learned one of the suspects fled out the back door of the business and ran into the woods.
