When Meg Jarvis checked her pet camera one afternoon, she expected to see her one-year-old rescue dog Ruby napping or playing. Instead, she was met with a sight that broke her heart—her dog had “texted” her.
The now-viral clip , shared to the @RubySaysSo Instagram account, shows Ruby pressing four buttons on her soundboard, part of her alternative interspecies communication system, to say “Help. Want. Mama. Kong.”
“I checked the cameras and my heart just shattered,” the overlay text read, showing Ruby pacing and softly whining. “Cue the instant heart shatter. There is no feeling quite like the guilt of leaving them home, and then getting a ‘text’ like this.”
