Alabama pride is having a moment on reality TV, as a mother-daughter team from the state competes on the first season of “Baked With Love: Holiday.”

Birmingham’s Sally Wicker McKay and her mother, Amy Moree Wicker, are vying for a $50,000 prize on the Hallmark series, whipping up delicious desserts for the show’s judges.

“Baked With Love: Holiday” is similar to “The Great British Baking Show,” as 10 pairs of home bakers face off in festive challenges that showcase their culinary talents and family recipes.

The baking competition made its debut on Oct. 27, and McKay, the founder of Sally’s Confections , and her skillful mom have made an outstanding team.
