Firefighters knock out multiple small grass fires along Powers

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Firefighters from multiple agencies were able to get the upper hand on a string of small grass fires burning along a busy Colorado Springs road.

The fires ignited along Powers during the Tuesday morning rush hour. Cimarron Hills Fire Department first reported the fires at 8:25 a.m.:

Colorado Springs Fire Department reported minutes later that it was also responding.

11 News found at least three locations where fires were burning.

The cause of the fires is still under investigation.
