The woman behind the largest-ever cryptocurrency scam which defrauded over 100,000 people has been jailed.

Zhimin Qian, who was also known as Yadi Zhang, has been jailed for 11 years and eight months. She masterminded a £5.5billion theft, which led police to make their largest-ever Bitcoin seizure.

A landmark investigation involving the single largest confirmed cryptocurrency seizure in the world which impacted 128,000 victims saw her brought to justice today. The conwoman - dubbed the Goddess of Wealth - had been on the run for around five years before finally being arrested in York in April last year.
