The Cedar Rapids Police Department and the Iowa State Patrol responded to a head-on crash on Highway 100 Monday evening, in which no significant injuries were reported, according to a Facebook post by the police department.

Highway 100 west of I-380 was closed in both directions Monday evening after 6:28 p.m., when the crash happened.

Multiple people had called 911 just before the crash happened to report a wrong-way driver, who was going east in the westbound lane.

Police responded and found the wrong way driver — in a four-door car — had run head on into an SUV. Neither party reported serious injuries, the post states.
