Sally Kirkland, the stage, film and TV veteran who earned an Oscar nomination for her title role in the 1987 movie “Anna,” died while in hospice care. She was 84.

Michael Greene, a representative for Kirkland, told TMZ that said she died early Tuesday in Palm Springs, Calif.

Kirkland acted on stage and screen for six decades and starred in more than 300 projects. Her most notable role was in the 1973 film “The Sting” alongside Paul Newman and Robert Redford.

She also appeared in “The Way We Were” with Barbra Streisand, “Revenge” with Kevin Costner, director Ron Howard’s “EDtv,” Oliver Stone’s “JFK,” and “Bruce Almighty” with Jim Carrey.
