Shillong, Nov 11: Former Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) State President Jamil Ahmed has been appointed by the Congress as the Coordinator of the Unorganised Workers and Employees Congress (KCC) for Meghalaya, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Sikkim.

Ahmed had resigned from the LJP on October 7, last and joined the Congress.

The KKC, a sister organisation of the Congress, like the Youth Congress, Mahila Congress, Minority Congress, Kisan Congress, is under the control of the All India Congress Committee (AICC).

“My job is to strengthen the party in the aforesaid states by reorganizing and reuniting the party in the states assigned to me apart from working for the unorganized workers/employees,” Ahmed said in a statement today.
