DALLAS — Dallas Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison is reportedly out, and a new era for the club is about to begin.

The Mavericks fired Harrison on Tuesday morning, according to ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania and Tim MacMahon.

The team is expected to appoint Michael Finley and Matt Riccardi to lead basketball operations in the interim, Charania reported.

The decision comes months after Harrison traded Luke Doncic last season, prompting a barrage of criticism that has not died down as the Mavericks struggle to win at the start of a new season. Charania reported that Dumont ultimately decided to take accountability for the trade "and accepted (it) as a mistake in a court-side interaction with a fan on Monday night."
