LAFOURCHE PARISH, La. — A student from Sixth Ward Middle School was arrested for allegedly sharing AI-generated nude images of his classmates, and more arrests or charges could follow as the case develops, authorities said.

The incident was brought up during last week’s Lafourche Parish School Board meeting, prompting the sheriff’s office to share an update on the investigation.

The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office said the investigation began in August after someone reported that a group of boys was circulating AI-generated nude pictures of female students on a school bus. The situation led to a confrontation between one of the boys and a female student.
