ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A man died from his injuries after being stabbed following a fight in southwest Atlanta, according to police.

Officers responded to Grady Memorial Hospital about a person being stabbed around 6 p.m. Monday. Hospital staff told them a 39-year-old man came with stab wounds but died a short time later.

During the investigation, it was learned that the incident happened at a home at 509 Roy Street SW. Police told Atlanta News First that two men were fighting before the stabbing took place.

Police have not released any information about whether any suspects have been arrested.

The investigation is ongoing.
