SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Good afternoon! Our last freezing morning due to the cold air mass has been put behind us! Temperatures should reach well into the middle and upper 60s by this afternoon, which is slightly lower than the average for this time of year.
There is an elevated risk for fire weather due to today’s windy and dry conditions. Winds may vary between 10-15 mph through today, with gusts reaching up to 25 mph through the afternoon hours. These conditions appear to be supportive for wildfire growth!
Afternoon temperatures jump back above the average through the rest of the week! Highs on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will reach the upper 70s and lower 80s. Lows are expected to creep back into the lower 60s by the end of the week as well.
Rain chances may start to rise again
