With a consultant currently determining Wilmot’s priorities for 2026 as part of developing the first strong-mayor’s budget in the township’s history, residents and councillors are curious to know what to expect.
“We’ve always been able to look at a budget and been able to analyze it, do a gap analysis between previous ones, and respond to it,” said resident Barry Wolfe, during a special meeting Monday updating council on the process.
“There’s nothing this year,” Wolfe said. “I’m really disappointed that there seems to be two groups as I’m sitting here — those in the know, and those who don’t know what’s going on.”
