CLEVELAND — November marks National Epilepsy Awareness Month , drawing attention to a neurological condition that affects almost 3 million adults and nearly half a million children across the United States. Health experts emphasize that knowing how to respond during a seizure can make a critical difference and potentially save a life.

Epilepsy is a brain disorder characterized by recurring, unprovoked seizures that can affect anyone at any age.
