BELLA VISTA, Ark — A utility worker struck by a vehicle while on the job in Northwest Arkansas has died days after the Nov. 7 incident, according to the Bella Vista Police Department (BVPD).
The crash reportedly happened on Friday around 2:26 p.m. on Highway 340, also known as Lancashire Boulevard, near Burton Lane.
BVPD said the utility worker was flagging traffic when he was struck.
On Sunday, family members confirmed to 5NEWS the identity of the victim as 30-year-old James "Keaton" Lawson.
Family said Lawson was declared brain dead and there were plans to take him off life support and donate his organs to "give life to others."
Early Tuesday morning, BVPD confirmed Lawson was declared dead on Monday, Nov. 10.
