CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - The search for a man wanted for killing his grandmother and stabbing a Craven County deputy is shifting to an investigative and intelligence-driven case.

The last confirmed sighting of Dominic Connelly was a week ago today, after a Ring camera captured the man wearing beige overalls in the Wilmar area of Craven County.

Investigators say they are shifting away from a “command-post” style manhunt for the man.

Connelly is wanted for the stabbing death of Patricia Lopedote at her home outside of Havelock on October 25th.

The man has been on the run since October 29th after authorities say he stabbed a deputy who confronted him at a fast-food restaurant in Vanceboro.

Deputies say they have searched over 3,000 acres of land and over 450 structures for Connelly.
