BOSTON — After spending his first nine seasons in Boston , Brandon Carlo faced the Bruins as a foe for the first time in Toronto on Saturday night.

Traded to the Maple Leafs at last year’s deadline, Carlo was a -2 in Toronto’s 5-3 loss at Scotiabank Arena.

During his first matchup with the Bruins, Carlo said it wasn’t a specific play, but a familiar voice that provided his most memorable moment of the night.

“There was one time I got a puck out in the neutral zone, and I was pulling it back. Pasta was just yelling at me like, ‘Brando! Brando! Brando!’ trying to make me nervous,” Carlo said. “That was kinda funny. It’s fun to have those kinds of relationships as well and I appreciate that from him, keeping it light. It was great to see those guys and weird to play against them.”
