JACKSONVILLE (KKTV) - Former Colorado Buffalo and current Jacksonville Jaguar Travis Hunter is out for the remainder of the 2025 NFL season, the Jaguars announced on Tuesday.
According to the team, Hunter underwent a successful surgery to repair a lateral collateral ligament (LCL) injury in his right knee. The team said the injury occurred during a practice on Oct. 30, and there was no additional damage to his knee.
While he’ll miss the rest of his rookie NFL season, the team says they expect him to return to “full football activities” within six months.
Hunter, a standout at Colorado and the 2024 Heisman winner, was drafted second overall by the Jaguars in the 2025 NFL Draft.
