SOUTH WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) - A man from Bloomfield was arrested for taking part in a jewelry store burglary in South Windsor.

According to police, Troy Coleman, 59, was arrested on Tuesday on an active arrest warrant.

They said Coleman, along with two others suspects, were responsible for an April 14 burglary into Hannoush Jewelers on Buckland Road.

“Coleman and his accomplices smashed a window to the business to gain entry and then smashed the jewelry cases and stole approximately $65,000 worth of rings, watches and necklaces,” said Sgt. Mark Cleverdon, South Windsor police.

Police said Coleman was linked to the crime through DNA evidence left behind at the scene.

The investigation into the identity of the other two suspects was said to be still ongoing.
