MACON, Ga. — A Macon outdoor equipment store will be closing soon, marking an end to a six-year run for the business.
Ocmulgee Outfitters, which sells gear for camping, fishing, hiking and more, will be closing at the end of 2025, according to a post from the store’s Facebook account .
“This store has been one of my greatest challenges and proudest accomplishments,” the post read. “What started as a run-down convenience store was transformed into a beautiful retail space filled with outdoor treasures — a dream come true.”
A specific closure date was not announced for the store, located on Poplar Street in Macon. 13WMAZ spoke with the owner, Tanya Williams, when the store opened in 2019.
