A 22-year-old man died Tuesday after rolling his car on a rural Manitoba highway, police say.
Manitoba RCMP say they got a call at 6:45 a.m. on Tuesday about a vehicle rollover on Highway 14, between Roads 19 and 20 West, in the RM of Stanley.
When police arrived members of the Winkler Fire Department, who were already on scene, told them that a man was dead on scene.
Police say they’ve determined that the man had been travelling eastbound in a truck on Highway 14 when he slid into the oncoming lane and then veered back, hitting several trees and rolling into the ditch on the south side of the road.
The driver, from the RM of Stanley, was found outside. No one else was in the truck.
Pembina Valley RCMP and RCMP traffic analyst continue to investigate the crash.
