LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - More mild weather headlines the forecast as we head over the next several days - including record high temperatures for much of the state into the day on Friday.

Into Wednesday evening the big thing on most everyone’s minds will be the chance for another light show from the Northern Lights. Conditions into Wednesday evening will not be as favorable as they were on Tuesday night. For one - the last coronal mass ejection is supposed to peak during the afternoon hours before sunset tonight. Secondly, more cloud cover is expected across the state this evening compared to yesterday evening.

All that said - forecasting space weather is even more fickle than our regular Nebraska weather. We very well may still see the auroras dance in the sky tonight -but our best chance
