The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is taking its property and evidence operations to a whole new level — with a renovated, state-of-the-art facility designed to improve efficiency, organization, and security.
Sheriff Austin Garrett says there’s nothing quite like it in the region.
“This is a state-of-the-art property and evidence retention facility,” said Sheriff Garrett. “There’s not one like this anywhere around here to this scale.”
The $600,000 renovation project is now in its final stages, with Local 3 News getting a behind-the-scenes look before it officially opens.
Records clerk at the facility, Kaitlyn Shepherd, says the expansion marks a major step forward for the department.
