ANSON COUNTY, N.C. — A woman was found dead at a home in Wadesboro, prompting an investigation by the Anson County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to a home on Maple Street on Saturday, Nov. 8, around 5:30 p.m. Hannah Powell, 27, was found dead at the home.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of Powell's death. Deputies did not say if foul play was suspected.
