LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Wednesday marked the one-year anniversary of the deadly plant explosion that rocked Louisville’s Clifton neighborhood.
Two workers died and 12 others were hurt in the Givaudan plant explosion, and a year later, some Clifton residents are still dealing with the emotional aftermath.
A year later, there is still a mess of metal that is twisted on scene. A security guard remains at the property; it is guarded 24-hours.
Charles Bowling was at work outside in Clifton on the day of the Givaudan plant explosion in 2024. He felt the blast.
“It felt like getting hit by an invisible safety coming over the middle.” Bowling said. “You get hit, but you never seen what hit you.”
