SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Today was a big day for the Notre Dame men’s basketball program, as the Irish officially signed three players for their 2026 recruiting class.

Leading the way is Jonathan Sanderson, a four-star recruit ranked 55th in his class by ESPN and 65th by 247 Sports. The 6-3 point guard at La Lumiere School in LaPorte is ranked top 10 at his position and second-best overall in the state of Indiana.

Also coming to the Irish from La Lumiere is Gan-Erdene Solongo, a 7-foot center from Mongolia who also has dual citizenship with Ireland. He will be the first 7-footer to commit to Notre Dame since the turn of the century.

Lastly, the Irish added head coach Micah Shrewsberry’s son, Nick Shrewsberry. The 6-5 shooting guard averaged 13.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 2.
