WINONA LAKE, Ind. (WNDU) - The Grace College women’s basketball team had the most prolific offensive performance in women’s college basketball history on Tuesday night with a 172-91 win over Ohio Christian .
The Lancers’ 172 points are the most points scored by a women’s basketball team in a single game at any collegiate level, including NAIA, NCAA Division I, Division II or Division III. It broke the previous collegiate scoring record of 159.
Grace also set NAIA records for points in a half (93) and individual free throws made in a game (Maddy Poynter’s 17-for-17) in the win.
The Lancers are currently 4-1 on the season. Their next game is on Saturday at Cleary (Mich.).
