Did you catch the northern lighs over Oklahoma last night? Don't worry, you might get another shot.
The aurora borealis stunned Oklahoma and much of the U.S. overnight on Nov. 11, painting the skies with shimmering reds, greens and purples far beyond where anyone expected. Many Oklahomans could see it with the naked eye, no camera tricks required — a rare and dazzling surprise that extended into Texas, Florida and even parts of the South that NOAA didn't initially forecast.
Now, experts say a new burst of solar energy is expected to reach Earth on Nov. 12, and with clear skies and a bit of luck, northern Oklahoma may catch another glimpse.
