INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (KCTV) - A porch pirate caught on camera stealing baby formula and groceries from an Independence neighborhood prompted police to ask for more victims to come forward.

Two viral Facebook videos showed the problem. One woman caught the porch pirate on camera . A dad filmed his baby’s formula getting stolen . The videos racked up more than 30,000 views combined.

Police know the suspect hit multiple homes Monday but said only one victim filed a report.

Kayla Cowdrey, a mom in the quiet Independence neighborhood near Truman High School, said she relied on grocery delivery for her three teenage athletes.

“I can’t afford to replace those groceries,” Cowdrey said. “I need it, my kids need it.”
