LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) - We’re continuing to follow a bird flu outbreak in LaGrange County.
There’s been 10 new cases reported since Friday.
More than 84,000 commercial egg layers, meat ducks and breeder ducks are quarantined right now and surrounding counties are being watched closely.
According to state animal health officials, Indiana is the No. 1 producer of ducks in the country.
So far, more than 8.5 million domestic birds have died because of bird flu in the state this year.
