BLUE ASH, Ohio —
A man who escaped Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials on Tuesday morning in Blue Ash has been recaptured.
Federal officials said Diyrdjon Bakhtishodov, 23, "became unruly and escaped the rear of an ICE vehicle." Advertisement
Officers were in the process of transporting him from the Warren County jail to the ICE Blue Ash office for processing, according to a spokesperson from ICE.
The incident prompted a search that sent agents with tactical gear through a nearby neighborhood and forced several schools into lockdown.
"It's pretty wild, pretty unbelievable," said Nancy Sonneville, who lives in the vicinity where the search occurred.
Another neighbor, Andrew Kaplan, praised law enforcement for their swift response.
