UPPER ARLINGTON, Ohio — A man has been charged with aggravated murder after allegedly killing his wife at an Upper Arlington home.

Court documents show James Hill told investigators he stabbed his wife, Mary, and then himself.

Investigators said Hill told police he recently met a woman on a dating website and exchanged nude photos with her. On the morning of Nov. 9, Hill said he received a text message from the woman demanding $15,000 in Apple Pay cards or she would release his photo publicly.

According to court records, Hill told police he “could only think of one way out of the situation,” which was to kill himself and his wife.
