ASHTABULA, Ohio — Ashtabula Area City Schools is at a crossroads after voters overwhelmingly rejected a bond issue to repair the collapsed roof at Lakeside High School . Now, the district faces uncertainty while a lawsuit over insurance money moves through the courts.
"It's a waiting game," Superintendent Lisa Newsome said. "And I'll be honest with you, I am frustrated with the waiting game."
Newsome tells 3News the district is trying to figure out how to bring high school students back into the building they love.
"For me, it's heartbreaking, and I feel that it's heartbreaking for the students," Newsome added.
