RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A man is in custody after the Racine County Sheriff's Office assisted Milwaukee police in a pursuit along I-94 southbound into Racine County earlier Wednesday, Nov. 12 causing the interstate to close down for 30 minutes.
According to Milwaukee police, the man fleeing was in a pick-up truck and was a wanted felon, who was armed and dangerous.
Racine deputies deployed a tire deflation device as the truck was speeding along I-94, within moments the front tires deflated and shredded off the truck causing it to become disabled on top of the Highway KR overpass.
Racine and Milwaukee officers took the man into custody without further incident after that. The interstate was closed down for 30 minutes during the arrest.
