MAZOMANIE, Wis. (WMTV) - A Mazomanie food pantry volunteer is stepping up to help families in need.
Second Harvest Foodbank and other community donations help support the pantry where, Brenda Reyes, is one of many volunteers making a difference for families in a time of uncertainty.
Reyes rolls a cart through the Heights Unlimited Pantry, making sure shelves are stocked for families in need every Tuesday.
“It’s only an hour to an hour and a half of your evening or your day,” Reyes said.
Reyes has been volunteering at the pantry for seven months.
“They say when you enjoy something you’re doing, time doesn’t matter,” she said.
Her dad, Dennis, a longtime volunteer, told her the pantry needed extra hands.
“I was like, you know what? I don’t know why I can’t step up,” Reyes said.
