BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The latest Player of the Week honor over on the Hill goes to men’s basketball guard Armelo Boone!

The freshman had the clutch gene earlier this week in an in-state showdown with Eastern Kentucky, scoring seven points in crunch time to help give the Tops the edge over the Colonels and improve to 2-0 this year.

The Lexington, Ky. native has played in just two collegiate games and is already making his case to head coach Hank Plona that no lights are too bright.

He even got to showcase some athleticism in the process with a couple steals and slams against the Colonels earlier this week.

Boone and the Tops will be back at home this weekend to kick off a brief two-game homestand before hitting the national stage to compete in the Battle 4 Atlantis the week of Thanksgiv
