BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – With colder weather settling in and the holidays right around the corner, more freezing temperatures are on the way. One consequence of that affects many long-term care residents in our community, some of whom need extra warmth or basic hygiene items like blankets and toothbrushes.

That’s where Kentucky Legal Aid is stepping in, partnering with the Barren River Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program to host a drive to help those in need this season.

“We want to make sure that we can support them… and give them not only blankets, but personal care hygiene products as well, so whether that’s soap, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste.
