A woman walking her dog was critically injured when she was struck by a car in Greenlawn, Suffolk County Police announced on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
The woman stepped into the westbound lane of Cuba Hill Road in front of 115 Cuba Hill Road when she was hit by a 2020 Lexus around 2 p.m., according to police.
Her name is being withheld until her family is notified. She was taken to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore and admitted in critical condition, police said.
Her dog was not injured in the crash. The driver of the Lexus, identified as Alan Berliner, 87, of Greenlawn, was not hurt.
