Two people were arrested after investigators seized marijuana and flavored vape products from a Huntington Village business, Suffolk County Police announced on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
The Second Precinct Investigative Unit, working with the Town of Huntington Ordinance Inspector and Fire Marshal, executed a search warrant at Huntington Village Vapes and Canna Culture at 4 Elm St. in Huntington during a compliance check, according to the release.
Business owner Ryan Casillo, 42, of East Northport, was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of Cannabis 3rd Degree, a misdemeanor, police said.
Employee Ryan Lembeck, 30, of Huntington, was charged with Sale of Cannabis Without a License, a misdemeanor, and Unlawful Sale of Cannabis, a violation, according to the department.
In total, investigators seized 86 boxes of marijuana, THC products, flavored vapes, and cash from the shop. The Town of Huntington also issued building and fire violations following the search.
Casillo and Lembeck were released on Desk Appearance Tickets and are scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on Tuesday, Dec. 2. A criminal charge is an accusation, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
