A former executive within the National Rugby League has found himself in a legal dispute with one of the world’s biggest rappers.

Jeremy Scott, who launched Swim Shady in December of 2024 and was the former sponsorship manager at the South Sydney Rabbitohs – has faced a hurdle with his brand name.

Eminem – whose real name is Marshall Mathers - has filed an opposition to the brand name 'Swim Shady' through IP Australia, the Daily Telegraph revealed.

He also launched legal action in September in the US in an attempt to cancel the Swim Shady trademark.

The brand, which specialises in beach shades and swimwear products, will be up against one of the biggest musicians in the world – who has a reported net worth of $US250 million.
