KNOXVILLE, Tenn — Oliver Springs and Knox Central High School have a couple of things in common. Both teams share the mascot of a Bobcat, and both teams are going on the road in the second round of the high school football playoffs.
"You know, it's a little longer trip, a little longer, um, bus ride than usual," Oliver Springs Head Football Coach Tyler Harper said.
Back in January, the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association changed second-round match-ups for Regions 1 and 2 to meet with Regions 3 and 4, and vice versa on the west side of the state. The TSSAA sent a survey out to coaches late last year and 54% of coaches were in favor of the changes.
