A stretch of Topanga Canyon Boulevard will be closed down Thursday in anticipation of the rainstorm that is expected to drench Los Angeles County.
CalTrans crews will shut down the boulevard between Pacific Coast Highway and Grand View Drive beginning at 10 p.m. Thursday. The road will remain closed until conditions improve, Caltrans said.

The 3.6-mile portion of the canyon road was already part of a work zone that was closed nightly. The work involves recovery from the January Palisades Fire and winter storms that requires nightly closures from midnight to 5 a.m.
CalTrans shut down the canyon road last month in October , ahead of another winter storm that brought rain and flash flooding in the area.
