FISHERS, Ind. — The Indy Fuel nearly completed a huge comeback win Wednesday night with a last-second goal, but instead had to go to overtime to get the victory.

Lee Lapid scored on a deflection 1:02 into the extra period to give the Fuel a 5-4 win over Rapid City in a game they trailed 4-1.

The game-winner came just minutes after Indy appeared to win the game with three seconds remaining in regulation. As Matt Petgrave dumped he puck into the Rapid City zone, it deflected off the glass into a wide-open net. After a brief discussion, the on-ice officials determined the puck hit the curved glass next to the Rush bench, which is out of play, negating the goal.

While the Fuel dominated the shot chart over the first two periods, the Rush jumped out to a lead on the scoreboard. Indy out
