GRAND FORKS — Hatton-Northwood thrower Elizabeth Pinke spent the first part of her senior year touring five Division I track and field programs.
The recruiting swing came to a stop Wednesday as Pinke committed and signed with Big Sky Conference member Montana State.
Pinke chose Montana State over offers from UND, North Dakota State, South Dakota and Idaho State.
"I knew all fall that I wanted to sign (Wednesday)," Pinke said. "I was at Montana State this last weekend, so I knew it would be a quick turnaround. It just happened that I committed and signed on the same day."
Pinke has deep UND ties with her brother Hunter a former tight end and captain for the Fighting Hawks' football program, while her mother Katie was a track and field athlete at both Georgia and UND.
