HALLOCK — Some teams say they have a long road to the state tournament, Kittson County Central's football team is facing a long road just to get to their next venue.

The Bearcats are one of four nine-man football teams remaining in Minnesota, and there has been a lot of school spirit displayed across Hallock.

"You see signs everywhere, everybody's cars are painted up," said junior Eli Peterson.

"Lots of talk. Everybody wants to know if you're going to win or not, but you never know until the game," added junior Ashton Knutson.

The school, located about 20 miles from the United States-Canada border, has held pep rallies for the team as it prepares for their game Thursday against Hillcrest Lutheran at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
