After making his debut as a teenager at Sporting in 2002, the Portuguese forward has scored over 950 goals for club and country.
In an interview with CNN’s Becky Anderson at the Tourise Summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday, the all-time leading goalscorer in international soccer history said, “I will be 41 years old and I think it will be the moment in the big competition.”
Asked about his retirement from the sport, Ronaldo, who is also the top scorer in history with 143 international goals, stated, “I’m enjoying the moment, but when I mean soon, it’s really soon because I gave everything for football.”
