COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) -Three years into leading the team at Care and Share, CEO Nate Springer remains grateful to see shelves stocked with food at southern Colorado’s food bank.

“There’s a new challenge every single day. I like challenges. I like working through complex problems,” Springer said. “And what’s really been fun is to build a team, help build a team here at Care and Share, of just really talented people.”

Springer’s no stranger to leadership, bringing more than two decades of military experience to Care and Share. Most recently, he served as garrison commander at Fort Carson.

“That service over self is really appealing. And so when I was leaving the military, boy, did I get lucky to find an organization where they feel the same,” he said.
