COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - President Donald Trump signed a government funding bill into law Wednesday night, ending a 43-day government shutdown, the longest in American history.
Representative Jeff Crank, who represents the CD-5, was one of the 222 House lawmakers who voted for the funding bill.
“I’m glad that we’re getting it open, and to all those men and women who served us when we didn’t serve them very well as a government, thank you for working hard and for doing everything you can to keep this country moving,” he said.
Both Colorado’s Democratic senators, John Hickenlooper and Michael Bennet, voted against sending the measure to the House on Monday.
